Re: 1930s Block of European Flats on Peking Road
The block of European flats in Peking Buildings at 43-49 Peking Road became available for rental in 1933. I suggest the completion date of the block be suitably amended.
I believe the references from the Public Works Department Report* mentioned above are for that section of Peking Buildings on 23-31 Nathan Road which also included the Airlie Hotel. These blocks were completed in 1930. See here Rental advertisements and thefts from flats in Peking Buildings and Airlie Hotel confirm the Nathan Road section of K. I. L. 413 was completed first.
The Peking Road and Hankow Road sections of Peking Buildings only start appearing available for rental in 1933.
* After 1930, the Public Works Reports did not include the year of completion of private buildings.
