Petition to come up re Stuart’s promotion & the reason given for it, ie, “For services rendered during the War”. If such be the case then a large portion of the Staff are entitled to promotion. As his probable promotion was mooted before the war it smacks of Masonic? favouritism. However, the Crown Solicitor has it in hand so must await developments.
