Barbara Anslow:

[In October 1942] Norah had recently joined us 3 in the [Stanley Internment Camp] hospital office as a stenographer.   Tragically, in 1950, as Norah Stutchbury, she was murdered in Malaya by terrorists.

Norah Witchell was the youger daughter of George Bernard Witchell and Dolly . She is a cousin to May and Maud Witchell and not a sister.  Norah had a beautiful singing voice. She was very close to her cousins May Ride and Maud Philippens and my father Robert Grindley Southerton (Jnr) before the War. They were all interned together in Stanley camp during the war with my grandfather Robert Grindley Southerton.
