Tong Siu-ting (湯少亭) is the early 20th century, he was active in the Chinese Christian community and early social organizations in Hong Kong (such as the 'Chinese Christian Youth Moral Education Association' and early youth groups) as a speaker, preacher, or progressive intellectual. In the history bulletin you mentioned, he was specially invited to give a keynote speech for "Aspiring Youth." This reflected a trend among Chinese churches in Hong Kong (such as the Tao Chai Chapel system) and the intellectual community at the time: by holding public academic or moral lectures, they aimed to inspire young people's thinking, promote social reform, and moral cultivation.
