Peter and the other artillerymen returned to their anti-aircraft gun positions at the Waterfall Bay AA Battery on 10 December 1941 (now Wah Fu Estate - he lived there until he past away) in Pok Fu Lam. There were two anti-aircraft guns 8 Chinese controlled 1 gun, and 8 Indians controlled the other.
On 13 December 1941, 4 Japanese planes flew over that day, and the sixteen of them shot down the second one. We were on the first gun, and the Indians controlled the second.
The Officer, Henry Chen, shouted "Number 1, fire! The first gun fired. He then shouted: Number 2, fire! The second one fired…"
"We didn't even need to see it crash into the sea; as soon as we saw smoke coming out, we were very excited, everyone was happy."
The officer rewarded them with a whole sheep, and a Chinese chef cooked it into curry as a reward.
