The photo shows the Tai Po Railway Pier with ferries moored to it. The pier is a dam built into the sea with a (likely wooden) part at the end (where the ferries are). The photo was taken from a southbound train when passing Tai Po Kau Station. The marine police station is out of sight on the left.
