1969 should be about right as work appears to have commenced for the construction of aircraft nose-in parking facilities comprising aerobridges in anticipation of the planned arrival of new larger wide-bodied generation aircraft into Hong Kong. Pan Am with its Boeing 747 arrived in Hong Kong the following year.
