'The missionaries!!!' @ 24 Broadwood Road, c1932

[Updated 20/12/25]

Names not known but I include this picture as it would seem to put us at 24 Broadwood Road, with the Tai Hang Road and cutting behind.  This would put the date between 1931-33.

This part of the building was brick.

20/12/25. I've just realised where we are with this pic.  The ground floor of #24 was granite, but the first and second floors were brick with granite surrounds for the windows, if I have discerned the photo correctly.

We are in the projecting entrance bay of the building and a verandah or balcony on the first or second floor. I should have known it was higher up because there's no fence visible between us and the Tai Hang Road.

I don't know why the legend to this picture is styled 'The Missionaries!!!'  Is it a fancy dress turnout?

Date picture taken

Thank you moddsey, and my thanks to you and David and team Gwulo for your assistance since I began the quest in 2023.

The reason for the long wait is because my cousin has the album and I've been waiting since 2021 to see her and get more pics!

In past visits I would have disregarded this pic as of no consequence, no names given etc, but knowing about the Tai Hang Road cutting suddenly gave the photo significance.

Delighted to have struck gold at last.

I was really hoping for a pic of the whole building, but alas, no.  I have a couple of pics which show parts of the building, which I shall post, but they are distant and give no identifiable context.
