It is attributed to W.P. Floyd and dated to c.1868. This is very reasonable because several photos in this collection are signed by Floyd on the glass negative.
There is a great similarity to the painting Happy Valley Racecourse, 1840s , possibly the template for the painting. The date is 1868, this would then also be valid for the painting. Possibly the stands at the racecourse could give a better time estimate.
Again, the old Bowrington Bridge can be spotted.
