Robert Keates receiving the Class 3 form prize at Kennedy Rd Junior School, December 1952. I believe that the prizegiver was Lady Grantham. The face in the front row partly obscured by the prizegiver is D.I Ogle, headmistress of Kennedy Rd Junior School, and the head popping up in the background is my mother, Dorothy Keates.
At the time, Kennedy Rd Junior School was located at 28 Kennedy Rd (subsequently the office of former Chief Executives of the HKSAR). I passed by there in October 2024 and the building seemed to be exactly as I last saw it in December 1953 before transitioning to the Peak School in 1954.
