Either the 1953 date is wrong or it's another member of the Colossus class, because Triumph returned to the UK at the end of 1950, and was taken out of service as a front line carrier for experiments on angled flight decks back in the UK.  Her place was taken by the similar carriers, HMS Theseus (until May 1951) and then in rotation, HMS Glory, HMAS Sydney, HMS Ocean until the end of the Korean war. The off-duty carrier would return to Hong Kong for maintenance.
