Praya Buildings 1891

Cropped from Panorama of city looking west from scandal point.

On the right should be the first City Hall, then the HSBC Headquarters (2nd gen). Then we are looking along the praya (DesVoeux Road).  At the bend to the left is a long pier which I can't identify. I'm a bit lost and don't know exactly where we are looking at. Where is the Pedder Street Clock Tower and Pedder's Wharf, and Douglas Wharf? I have a similar photo showing the HCMSC paddle steamer HONAM at this pier, but I would expect the HCMSC pier (1st gen) more to the left.

Update: this is another HCMSC pier, it's the Canton Steamboat Pier/Wharf at Gilman Street [c.1875-c.1896]. Pedder Street Clock Tower and Pedder's Wharf are behind the building, also Douglas Wharf, but a ship is visible that is likely moored at the wharf.
