Looks like Queen's Road looking east. Foreground is junction of QRC and D'Aguilar street and the next junction further down is that of QRC and Wyndham street. Building in centre HK Club building (1st generation).
Date? Looks about c.1870 but a guess. Corrections welcome.
In the photo that moddsey mentioned, the trees have a similar size/height compared to the original photo. Therefore, the date should be between 1868 and 1870.
Nice find moddsey. What struck me was the lack of people and rickshaws. There is a lone sedan chair in the distance. The rickshaw made its first appearance in HK in January 1874. There is a good view over a decent stretch of street that would normally include rickshaws so I figured it's likely this photo easily predates 1874.
