Sir Paul Chater tops the list of owners with the most winners in the  three days before the publication of the newspaper. Sir Paul's favourite jockey, Mr. Knoll tops the list of jockeys on this occasion. He was usually near the top. Knoll was the pseudonym of Archie David, who as owner of the Knights Stable also used the pseudonym of Mr. Gilpin. In this list Mr. Gilpin has seventh place for the most winners in the past three days. Other owner-jockeys such as Seth and Soares didn't bother with pseudonyms. Mrs. John Johnstone and Mrs. Deacon were among the first lady owners.
