This is another photo taken of Carol Bateman's students who performed to the music of The Swedish Rhapsody as part of the Dance Festival on March 8, 1955, celebrating the Golden Anniversary of the Rotary Club. This photo was taken in Miss Bateman's dance studio at the Helena May Institute.
Kirsten "Kiki" Rasmussen was the principal dancer in this performance, and is pictured standing in the center. Standing behind her is Jean Wong who went on to open her own ballet school. The male dancer next to her is Stephen (as I recall), holding a basket of some sort. Also in this group is Pearl Chan, standing at the far right, front. She also taught dancing and became involved in the performing arts movement in Hong Kong. I am kneeling at the far left behind the couple seated on the floor.
