Curly Watson and RAF Police dog 'Flash'.

We had no swimming pool on RAF Sek Kong, so usually five or six of us  and two or three police dogs, would trek across the paddy fields from the airfield to this pool on the foothill slopes of Timo Shan.   There were two pools, one above the other and both had been formed by building small concrete dams  across a mountain stream.    At the time I assumed this was a way of storing water to irrigate the paddy fields, now I wonder whether this was the water supply for Kam Tin walled village which was not too far away.  In retrospect I feel sorry and guilty if this was the case.

Brian Utting (his gallery is in the 367 Association gallery) was stationed at RAF Sek Kong in 1957/59.  Were his two photographs taken at what he described as  the 'swimming pool' taken in the same place as yours?  Here is one of his images.
