The tallest building at the time, the Bank of China building (1951-) at Des Voeux Road, Central, is present so it is the 1950s.

The former Canton Road police married quarters is present so it’s from 1953 onwards.

The praya reclamation (supposedly begun in 1951) in a central position on the Victoria waterfront was completed in August 1955 as per discussion here and there is no evidence of that in this photo so it’s before August 1955. And the  photo in this thread is chronologically before the same said photo in the link based on the degree of progress of reclamation.

So this photo may be circa 1952/1953 if the Canton Road police married headquarters is just newly built or almost completed but not yet inaugurated in February 1953. I’m more inclined to late 1952 as the date of the photo (the branches look a bit bare!). Corrections welcome.

Phase 1 of Alexandra Building is there, so it's 1952-54,
There might be a trace of the seawall for the reclamations, which was there by mid-1953,
but it's too fuzzy to tell
The Admiralty Floating dock is still there.
The eastern wing of the Government offices are under construction,
by the time of the Coronation, the building was full height, but still covered in Scaffolding
so I agree with late 1952, to early 1953.
