This early 1950’s image of Lin Fa Kung Temple appears in Stericker, John & Veronica, The Hong Kong Gift Book, Self-published, Hong Kong 1954.
The authors write: The Lin Fa Kung Temple is probably the least known, least visited, and yet the most interesting and easy of access in Hong Kong. Leaving the city, proceed to Causeway Bay by way of Hennessy Road and King’s Road, turn right at Queen’s College on to Tunglowan Road. The temple can be seen at the end of a cul-de-sac, a little way down on the left below the hill. The fact that this temple, with its three-sided front, stands on granite piers, now partly buried, indicates that it once stood on the beach at Causeway Bay. This is a startling revelation and provides a key both to its age and origin.
