From 1949 to 1956, the Tonnochy pier hosted the Wanchai-Yau Ma Ti line.
In 1956, the new Stewart pier took over the Wanchai-Yau Ma Ti line. Tonnochy pier hosted the Kowloon city line instead. In 1963, it expanded its service to Hung Hom until its demolition in 1968.

One can see the buses at the Gloucester junction terminus for line number 8 going to Shau Kei Wan.
