Another photo of the Ho Miu Ling Hospital, on Breezy Path, is on the HPC web site, ref Mi01-020 - https://hpcbristol.net/visual/Mi01-020.

Dr Eleanor Whitworth Mitchell worked there. I think it must have been a maternity hospital when she worked there. See https://hpcbristol.net/collections/mitchell-eleanor.

Any suggestions for the names of unidentified buildings etc on HPC are very welcome!

Dear Jamie:

I noticed a discrepancy between (https://hpcbristol.net/visual/Mi01-016) and (https://hpcbristol.net/visual/Mi01-019).

Mi01-016 has caption "Dr Eleanor Whitworth Mitchell with nurses and newly born babies, outside a maternity hospital, Hong Kong" and Mi01-019 has caption "Dr Eleanor Whitworth Mitchell, Hong Kong". The notes say " This photograph was probably taken at the London Missionary Society buildings."  The building behind her looks the same as Mi01-016 and hence should be the matrernity hospital and not London Missionary Society building.

The maternity hospital it referred to is likely the Alice memorial maternity hospital "hidden" behind the main hospital on Bonham road as shown in this 1920s map.

The Mi01-018 (https://hpcbristol.net/visual/Mi01-018) is at the main door of the Nethersole hospital on 10 Bonham road.
