Jamie Carstairs works as a digitiser in Special Collections, University of Bristol, where he was previously manager of the Historical Photographs of China project. He is currently researching the photographs of Charles Frederick Moore, who was an active and dedicated photographer in China from c.1869 to 1885. Moore began his career in China in Hong Kong.
