Photo taken prior to the construction of Chai Wan Estate. Squatter huts can be seen and the small wooded island in the upper centre of the photo was used for many years, certainly until the early 196os, as a camp site for the scouts. There was a small sea wall and harbour for sampans and small fishing junks just visible to the right of the island.
