My guess is Mody Road at the junction with Cornwall Avenue on the right, and Minden Row on the left. What indicates this location is a comment from Mike "My favourite eating place was the Malayan restaurant Minden ave".

I can 100% confirm your location, as I spent about 6 months living in 11 Mody Rd, the building with the curved end and Lucky Co. sign, around ~1993 and also have photos of this exact location around ~2000, shortly before the building was demolished to make the K11 Art Mall.
