I believe the photographer was standing somewhere along Tai Hang Road, close to the junction of Perkins Road.
The buildings on the slopes in the foreground should be the now demolished Wesley Village. Some of the older buildings shown in the photograph may still exist.
As T says, its a view from Tai Hang Road. It's hard to get an exact match now because there is so much vegetation in the way, but this streetview from Tai hang Road through a gap in the bushes shows the two stadiums:
After seeing the Street View screen capture you posted, the point of view is not exactly the same as the old photo. I suspect the photographer was forther up the slope, somewhere among the houses between Tai Hang Road and Mount Butler Road. It would be difficult to pin-point where though.
