@terewong, Thanks for posting. I saw you'd added it to the Victoria Hospital on the Peak. I've linked it to the Civil Hospital instead.

hello there, I was delighted to see this photo.  I am wondering whether this is the hospital where my great uncle was born in 1902.  His birth certificate says 'women’s hospital Queen’s road'. I have had a few false leads recently I thought I had found it but the one in question opened in 1904 and he was born in 1902!!

can anyone advise?

Thanks

can you advise when it was open and where it was ? I have searched for that before but couldn’t find one that was operational in 1902 at all let alone in queens road

many thanks

I have had another look for a military women’s hospital, the only one I could find is the BMH at Bowen Road or Borrett Road but it started operations in 1907 - I am looking for 1902.

I am intrigued- do let me know if there is another- moderator / David can you help ?

thanks
