I see that a bit earlier in November 1941 it was at 15 Hangkow Road and owned it seems by a Robert Leigh who was then granted a liquor licence. Probably still there when I took the pic.

The poster in the background advertises a film about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

Was the Blue Peter Pub located in the same area? I seem to remember it was a popular place for seamen to have a quick drink before getting to their ship by walla-walla. The Blue Peter flag signifies a ship is sailing in 24 hours.
