A few radiating paths can be seen. Date picture taken 1933 Shows place(s) European House #2, Cheung Chau [c.1907- ] Log in or register to post comments Comments Fa Peng top Difficult one moddsey. Is that a house (House #9?) on the distant promontory? And Victoria Peak beyond? Would that put us on the top of Fa Peng/ Fa Peng Knoll? But I can't find that pattern of paths/ buildings on the aerial photographs. Log in or register to post comments Odd Photo Yes, it an odd photo to decipher. Not many tell-tale signs on offer. The building on the knoll is interesting but cannot identify it. Log in or register to post comments Re: Photo I manually darkened the main image to reveal the outline of Hong Kong Island. I think the knoll with house on it can be seen below on the left ? 1930s Cheung Chau, by moddsey Log in or register to post comments Agreed I think you're right moddsey. Good call. That house I have called House #2. It has three arches to its verandah. The only puzzle is the difference in the amount of vegetation. They are both 1930s pics but they show quite a difference in vegetation. The building in the distance with three windows on the end is intriguing. That must be around House #3A.
