1840s seamen hospital huangjiahaijunyiyuan. Lower left corner. Renamed Royal Naval hospital in 1873. In 1949, it became the Ruttonjee Sanatorium.

The building lower left was called Braeside located at 20 McDonnell Road. There is a place for it here
With 2-4 Conduit Road in existence I would put the date of this photo as the mid to late 1930s

HKU's description is wrong. In the bottom-right corner of the photo are the two square towers of the north wing of St Joseph's College, built in the 20th century.

This may not be the only inaccurate caption came across under that named collection. Just to jot down this as a remark.
The admin person may have been wise to add a "?" next to the Date period, when it has to be digitized and posted, maybe over a decade ago.
