I am researching my Aunt Gladys who spent most of the war in an interment camp in Hong Kong, so I am pretty sure that the above Gladys Collard is the same person. Gladys was femaie, and she lived to very ripe old age and is buried in Saskatoon Saskatchewan.

Thanks Casey, I've corrected the information according to your notes, and made you the "owner" so you can edit it.

One little piece of information for you, the mention of Gladys in Barbara's diary says Gladys was repatriated to Canada. The repatriation to Canada happened in September 1943, so she was probably interned at Stanley from January 1942 til then.

Hello Bonnie,

If you have a larger scan of the newspaper clipping available, please could you follow the steps at https://gwulo.com/node/2076 to upload a copy? Then we can use the website's zoom to read the text.

When I saw that they were married in 1946 I wondered if they'd first met in Stanley, so I'd like to read the article.
