The movie "A Cuckoo in the Nest" was released in November 1933. It looks as if this film was shown in the Star Theatre, so the photo is from end of 1933/early 1934.

Eagle eyes to spot a cuckoo in the nest! Had a quick search. The film was screened at the Star Theatre on 29 and 30 April 1935.
