The bus in the photo was a KMB bus by way of how it was painted. with the location of the nullah and the street on the left, this could be where Waterloo Road met Nathan Road. I hope the building in the middle on the right hand side could be more in focus for identification.
Reminds me of the junction of Nathan and Jordan Roads looking east towards King's Park. The Evergreen Store was in the building on the left. A view of the buildings on the right can be seen below.
