Thomas Ross Hunter.

Prior to joining the Hong Kong Police in 1928 (?), he had served for at least six years in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, possibly as a Drummer in the Pipes & Drums.

Born 1905 (Edinburgh)

Died 1975 (Edinburgh)

A ship manfest for 1938 reveals travel by him and his wife, but the name/date/place of marriage/wife is not recorded.

The 31st Mar 1932 edition of the Edinburgh Evening News contains a photo of him (in uniform of a Drummer in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders) and mentions him being a Sergeant in the HKP and having been awarded the Police Medal the previous year for 'conspicuous service' in 'the riot', as well as a life saving medal by the Governor of Hong Kong.  He apparently served in the Water Police.
