The PWD Annual Report for 1928 notes its completion that year, and gives its location as "M.L. 58, R.P., Queen’s Road West.".

On the Cinema Treasures website, Raymond Lo writes that it opened for business on 30th July 1928.

Greetings.  From reading the page written by Raymond, I consider the theatre was never officially closed until its final day.  There have been interruptions during WWII, and the 1960 major renovation.  I would suggest that its operated during the period July 30, 1928 - March 16, 1972.  Regards, Peter

1967 年香港年鑑 says the restaurant at far left peach garden (桃園) was 119 Queens road west. The theater was celebrating the national day of PRC? with the slogan "long live the PRC". The picture should be post-1949.

This is a picture in the 1930s
