My name is Bernard I am French but I was born in Vietnam. I attended RHS in the late sixties. I am trying to contact my old class mates from that time. I have not been successful so far. I used to leave in a flat not too far from the Peak tram station. There was an Indonesian man and his sister living in the same flat. His name was Roy. If you are not that person, I apologize for the inconvenience.
I attended Kennedy Road School from 1950 until it closed and then went for one term to the newly opened Peak School in 1953. I don't thhink I knew you. I don't remember anyone called Greg.
I was born in Hong Kong in 1959, dad was in the RHKP and from Darlington, Durham, mum was from Pontypool in Torfaen, Wales, left in 1966 back with my mum whilst dad stayed there, I guess because of his job, when parents marriage started to unravel, went back in 2010 when I turned 50, the place is now unrecognisable and now absolutely stunning! I can only remember a few things from my time there as a kid. We lived in Greenlane Hall till about 65 when we moved to Stanley, Myself and my siblings went to Kennedy Road school, one thing I can remember, a sports day there when our car broke down on the road to the sports ground and we got there after we were given a lift in if I remember correctly a VW beetle driven by a girl who was in my class parents, Fiona was her name, my first crush as a 5 year old! I wonder if shes still around? Anyway, nearly 65 and living near Raglan in Monmouthshire, built up a career in engineering, I think about HK a lot more as I get older! Gotta go, got work to do, tan tro nesa !
