Dear Alexander,

Rob has recorded the details of the different components of the batteries. This page shows the location of the battery's second searchlight (DEL = Defence Electric Searchlight).

You can see his page for the battery itself at:

And pages for several other components of the battery at:

Regards, David

Could I ask what the difference is between this structure and the Lyon Lights? I can see the structural difference through the picture, and I understand this light is for a battery while the LLs were for costal defense pillboxes, but, was the actual electric light any different, were they used differently? etc. (what else makes them different)

Any info would be great, thanks.

Tried accessing it from the pebble beach but the slope was really slippery, plus that I didn't have the right shoes that day, so I gave up after trying to clamber up a few metres. It's still ok to move on, my only concern was the descend, for the area around the residence beside the light house was a construction site at the moment and has thus been blocked.
