My wife and I live in one of the town houses at 41 Sassoon Road and this development is on the ridge. The House on the ridge in the photograph was formerly owned by the Liu family. Two members of the Liu family were prominent lawyers in Hong Kong. Dorothy Liu who was the former senior partner of Liu Chan and Lam and Benjamin Liu her brother was a former judge. The house during the second world war was occupied by the Japanese. The house was sold to China Underwriters which was taken over by a company called Carrian. Carrian went spectacularly bust in the early 1980s and the houses were sold by the Receivers.
