Photo of Benjamin Cutler Randall from his son Gordon Randall via Henry Ching. Henry writes:
As promised, a photo of Benjamin Cutler Randall in his Police Reserve uniform. Don’t know when the photo was taken, but it must have been in the early 1930s, or perhaps even earlier. He looks far younger than I remember him. Also, I think the two pips mean he was an Inspector, but in December, 1941 he was a Superintendent. Don’t know what the ribbon is.

Randall
Medal ribbon is that of the King's Coronation Medal 1937,the award of which was published in the HK Govt Gazette dated 14th May 1937 under ' Volunteer Services,Police Reserve B C Randall ' ( along with 4 others of the Reserve - Badan Singh,Chow U Ting,W V Field and O(scar) Eager.) Note shoulder title, a one piece metal chrome HKP surmounted by an R.
Photo therefore taken post May 1937 but possibly before he was presented with the medal itself.
