Translation of note - 1954 January Wyndham Street, Hong Kong's first public telephone booth begins* operating, specifically designated for public telephone service.

​It is not clear whether the photo was taken in January 1954, or at a later date mentioning that it was Hong Kong's first public phone which started in January 1954.  *Scholars can resolve this with the accurate translation of the words "啟用" - thanks.
