Unveiled on 3 May 1923.
From: The Directory & chronicle for China, Japan, Corea, ... 1894.
A fine bronze statue of Sir Arthur Kennedy, Governor of the Colony 1872-6, erected by public subscription, stands above the second terrace looking down on the fountain [of the Botanical Garden]. It was unveiled in November, 1887, by Governor Sir William Des Voeux.
On the 1905, 1909 and 1924 maps shown with a marker.
The statue of King George VI was erected in 1958 on the pedestal where the statue of Sir Arthur Kennedy stood (the latter was removed by the Japanese during WW II and probably melted down). Source
Statue of Prince of Wales, later King George V. Installed 6. February, 1907. Probably also removed during the Japanese occupation, this date is estimated to mid-1942 (taken from the post of Queen Alexandra's statue) .
The statue was unveiled on 25th November 1909.
It was removed by the Japanese along with other statues during their occupation of Hong Kong. I've guessed mid-1942 as the date.
