WDBS #27, High WEST
WDBS #27, High WEST
#26 is located near the Pinewood PF Cells at the Lung Fu Shan. This WDBS is different from most of the WDBS at High West with the Broad Arrow on top of WD instead at the middle of WD.
#8 is located near the footpath to the High West easy to spot with the old light pole.
#7 is located on the slope near an old path beside Harlech Road. It collapsed and placed on the ground with the engrave facing outward. The pillar is 35” long (tall), can see the roughly crafted lower part which used to be underground.
#4 found based on the AMO- Working Report of the Archaeological Works at the Former Mountain Lodge, Annex A Fig.55 .
A fairly large complex with 2 exits, several turns and chambers. It's very easy to reach from the main path leading up to Mount High West. Turn left right before the first major stairs begin to ascend up the mountain. You will walk West and come across it to the right of the path after a very short walk on the well trodden ribbon trail. There's also a trench system S of the Tunnel.
To find this stone, look for distance marker 06 for the Hong Kong Trail. It's the post in the foreground of this photo. The stone is just visible at the top of the photo, half way across the view.
The marker on the map is approximate, but the stone is easy to find. If you're walking up from the lookout atthe end of Harlech Road, you'll have railings on your left. Here's the view when the railings stop:
To find stone #11, look for this marker, 'HL34'. It's on the side of the path, above a stormwater drain that passes under the path.
