From the Government Annual Report for 1985:
Hi, there,
I'm a writer who is looking for a local Hong Kong expert to provide a quote and/or information and/or cultural insight for an article I'm writing for an Internet site. I can't provide payment but I can tell you it's a very respected, well-known site. I can provide further details but it has to do with the funeral supply stores in the Sheung Wan area. If anyone happens to be in the funeral industry in HK that would be incredible.
Little known about this theatre, it appears on a 1870's photo.
There it says: The western-style building, on the extreme left, is Ko Shing Theatre, popular at the time with patrons of Chinese opera.
Pease see a street view link as for the time being.
Had had a second look of this one earlier today, also from the upper deck of a bus. It was first brought up by fellow netter Philk on Tue, 2008-09-16 17:06.
This used to be a Guangzhou Style BBQ & preserved meat specialty store.
This one is now a Wine shop and French Specialty shop of sort. The stair case at the back and the floor are also made of wood as I have been up to their 2nd floor for a little bit of wine tasting a few months ago. The front of the building had been fully renovated and modernized, however.
Edit. The Wine Shop moved away as the lease ended about a couple of years ago (around 2020).
