John Black's list gives Mr Rodger's occupation in 1941 as "Engineer".

Here's his entry in the 1941 Juror's List:

c   Rodger, George Sinclair Stock Supt., H. K. Tramways, Ld. 4 Broadwood Road.

Barbara Anslow:

During internment, Marie Barton married V. Morrison of HK Police, who had escaped from Stanley early on but was captured and kept in the Stanley Gaol, and later brought back into camp after which he married Marie.

Barbara Anslow:

In Stanley Internment Camp, R. Heasman used to do violin practice in a sort of shed (used I think as the camp mortuary) near the gaol.

DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Heasman's occupation in 1941 as "Secretary".
