Father John Cornelius Troesch was a Maryknoll missionary. He was ordained on 21 May 1932 and served as Procurator of the missions in Hong Kong, Manila and Shanghai between 1937 and 1945.

Father Troesch was present in Hong Kong during the Japanese invasion. He was interned at Stanley Camp. In "Prisoner of the Japs", the author, Gwen Dew got to know the Fathers of the Maryknoll Order as they were interned in the same building as her. Father Troesch was in charge of their kitchen.

In the 1941 Jurors List, Francis Neville Merritt Jr. worked as a "pupil" in the British Cigarette Co,. Ltd, (likely the British American Tobacco (BAT) Co., (China) Ltd.). His father by the same name worked as manager of BAT.

He and his father were interned at Stanley Camp. They were repatriated to the Unites States in 1942. Upon return, Francis Neville Merritt Jr. joined the Air Force.

Louisa L. McNeary was the wife of Henry McNeary. In 1940/41 her husband worked as manager in the South China American Bank Note Co..

After the fall of Hong Kong, she and her husband were interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Ethel Mattley was a missionary teacher and served the Churches of Christ in China. She arrived in Hong Kong in 1926 and would later continue her missionary work and Bible teaching in the Canton (Guangdong) and Kwangsi (Guangxi) missions. By 1940, Ethel Mattley returned to Hong Kong due to rising Sino-Japanese hostilities in South China.

After the fall of Hong Kong, she was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Melvin Lewis Marr was aged 13 when he was interned at Stanley Camp. He was repatriated to the United States in 1942. Not much is known of him or his parents.

Joseph Herbert Maltzer was a medical doctor. In 1941, he was a student at the University of Hong Kong prior to the Japanese invasion. He was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Paul Malone operated a commercial agency in Manila, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Pre-war, he appears to have resided in the Philippines but was stuck in Hong Kong during the Japanese invasion. He was interned at Stanley Camp and later elected the camp representative for Block 'A' at the end of January 1942. In the same year, he was repatriated to the United States.

His wife, Janina Malone, nee Hintz, was interned at Santo Tomas Camp, Manila. They were reunited after the Philippines were liberated. Janina and Paul died in Manila in 1952 and 1953 respectively.
