Joel Russell JONES [1903-1949]

Joel Russell Jones appears in the Jurors List from 1930 onwards and gave his occupation as manager of Connell Bros Co., an import and export firm. He had been married to Helena Apolonia Menchinsky Jones (née Bogusz) and had a son. Both his wife and son were not present in Hong Kong prior to the Japanese invasion.

Sarah Catherine JOHNSTON [1904-1972]

Sarah Catherine Johnston better known as Sarah C. Johnston was an American missionary serving the Assemblies of God Church in South China in the Canton (Guangzhou) and Hong Kong areas.

She was present in Hong Kong during the Japanese invasion and interned at Stanley Camp. She was repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Evelyne R. HULSE (née BOLT) [1918-1999]

Evelyne or Evelyn Hulse, née Bolt was born in Hong Kong, a teacher and married to Aubrey James Hulse, a U. S. citizen. Her father was Tom Bolt, a British citizen and mother's name was Mary Bolt, née Yeung.

In 1942, she was 24 years of age and gave her surname as Bolt-Hulse. After the fall of Hong Kong, Evelyn Bolt-Hulse, her husband and father were interned in Stanley Camp. Evelyn Hulse and her husband were repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Aubrey James HULSE (aka Jim) [1918-2009]

Born in Amoy, China in 1918. Aubrey James Hulse was an assistant master at Diocesan Boys' School. After the fall of Hong Kong, he and his wife were interned in Stanley Camp and later repatriated in 1942.

During WWII. he served in the U. S. Marine Corps in China and in the Asian theatre.

Kathleen GOURDIN [1898-1982]

Kathleen Gourdin was born in Hong Kong and  came from a large prominent family headed by her father, Allston O'Driscoll Gourdin As her father was born in the United States, Kathleen Gourdin was a U. S. citizen and thus was interned at Stanley Camp. She was repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Dr. Allston Gourdin was a medical doctor born in Hong Kong. He came from a large prominent family headed by his father, Allston O'Driscoll Gourdin As his father was born in the United States, Dr. Gourdin was a U. S. citizen and thus was interned at Stanley Camp.
