Roy Francis DENTON / WRIGHT-BROWN [1943- ]
Barbara Anslow:
The 2 surnames of Roy Francis are difficult to explain! His mother was Ivy Denton, who came into camp with a toddler Elizabeth called Betty. Ivy's husband didn't appear to be in camp. In 1942 Ivy had another daughter called Camille Tweed who only lived a few months. Roy Francis was born in Nov. 1943, and must have been registered at the hospital as Roy Francis Wright-Brown as that is the name I put in my diary.
Fiona Katherine CORSO (née KINLOCH-KING) [1943-2021]
Her surname was spelled Kinlock in a 1945 newspaper clipping, but official documents from the time used the spelling Kinloch.
Her funeral notice gives her maiden name as Kinloch-King, combining her father's and mother's surnames.
Margaret Ruth Charmagne COOK [1943- ]
Brian gives her name as Margaret Ruth Wallace Cooke.
George Sinclair RODGER [1899-1943]
John Black's list gives Mr Rodger's occupation in 1941 as "Engineer".
Here's his entry in the 1941 Juror's List:
c | Rodger, George Sinclair | Stock Supt., H. K. Tramways, Ld. | 4 Broadwood Road. |
Roy Ernest HEASMAN [1914-1976]
Barbara Anslow:
In Stanley Internment Camp, R. Heasman used to do violin practice in a sort of shed (used I think as the camp mortuary) near the gaol.
DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Heasman's occupation in 1941 as "Secretary".
