The Cheung Chau aeronautical meteorological station was set up in 1953 at a hilltop site adjacent to the Kwan Kung Pavilion on the southern side of the island.
In 1970, the station was relocated to its present site on Peak Road West.
It is an interesting reuse of the place post WWII.
This is really a journey of serendipity, after our previous searches.
It is great to see other Cheung Chau scenes, new and old, posted by fellow readers recently.

Hi David,
If you happen to read this, pls help to fix the "Later Place" field on the Assembly Hall (1924) page. One entry was incorrectly added there by some fellow reader before.
