Steward or "2nd cook" aboard the Admiral Y.S. Williams, an American freighter in dry dock at Hong Kong in December 1941.  Volunteer truck driver during battle for Hong Kong.  Captured after the fall of Hong Kong on December 25, 1941.  Interned at Stanley, where he worked in the camp kitchen.  Repatriated in August 1942.  Died during emergency surgery in November 1942 in California.  The surgery and death were attributed to health problems stemming from his time as an internee.  May have been married to Felisa Tombokon Cady of Quezon City, Philippines.
