The 1913 Public Works Report mentions 9 European houses as being completed on K. I. L. 575, Minden Villas and Minden Row. The huge lot was divided as follows:
a) Five houses built facing Mody Road between Minden Row and a newly constructed road (to be called Blenheim Avenue) and named 1-5 Minden Villas. See here for information on Minden Villas.
b) Four houses built in a north-south arrangement to the west of Minden Row and named 1-4 Minden Row.
Note (1) - Names were given to the house numbers on Minden Row (See 1955 Hong Kong map at https://www.hkmaps.hk/viewer.html) and 1938 Street Index of City of Victoria etc., Page 254 or Image 470 as follows:
(i) No. 1 - Chiselhurst;
(ii) N0. 2- Beverley (appears to have become a vacant lot by 1952)
(iii) N0. 3 - Penyrhew and
(iv) No. 4 - Cheriton
Note (2) - 1-2 Minden Row were replaced by Peninsula Apartments and Minden Apartments during 1957/58.
Note (3) - 3-4 Minden Row i.e. Penyrhew and Cheriton subsequently became Minden Row Junior School. See here In 1970 Star Mansion was completed on the building lots.

Think the four buildings can be seen on the 1931 photo (although not very clear)
And two of the houses on the photo from 1935
Thanks
Thanks Klaus. Been meaning to tackle the early lots of TST, Kowloon for some time. Will gradually add them in as I go along.
