1-5 Minden Villas [1913-????]

The 1913 Public Works Report mentions 9 European houses as being completed on K. I. L. 575, Minden Row and Minden Villas. The huge lot was divided as follows:

a) Four houses built in a north-south arrangement to the west of Minden Row and named 1-4 Minden Row (See here) and

b) Five houses built facing Mody Road between Minden Row and a newly constructed road (to be called Blenheim Avenue) and named 1-5 Minden Villas

Note (1) - Item 139 of the Report mentions the construction of scavenging lanes at the rear of No. 1-5 Minden Villas.

 Note (2) - "To Let" advertisement for house No. 2 Minden Villas, Mody Road having 5 rooms and a tennis court appears in the Hong Kong Daily Press dated 8 August 1913.
