I am assisting in researching some papers left by a friend's late mother who was a child internee at Stanley Internment Camp. One item bears a number of signatures including Bill's. Consequently I have discovered that he was born on 14/5/1926 & sadly died suddenly on 18/3/2019 at Kettering, UK.
His parents were Thomas Jackson Macauley from Belfast, who worked in customs, & Ling Ying Macauley. Two brothers of Bill were in the Forces in WW2 & a sister was a nurse.
Another dozen or so people, whose names or signatures were found on the same & other items, have been identified & further comments will follow.
Signatures proving harder to identify are:
Dorothy Fox - I believe a stenographer born c 1908. There are references here to her being Mrs, but that may be an error.
"R. Parker".
